Part A: Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing or using Sober Ally (the “App”) or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. The App is published by Biswajit / Bwjhub.
2. Using the App
Sober Ally is a personal tool for counting alcohol-free days, reflecting on your progress and managing cravings. You may use it for yourself. You must be old enough to use it under the law where you live. It is not intended for children under 13 or for anyone below the legal drinking age in their country.
3. Not medical advice
Please read
Sober Ally is a self-help and habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, a therapist or a treatment service, and it cannot diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Stopping heavy drinking suddenly can be dangerous. Talk to a doctor first. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. See the full Medical Disclaimer and Crisis Support.
4. Free features and Plus
The counter, streaks, craving SOS, breathing tools, journal, helplines and Sober World are free. Sober Ally Plus is an optional paid upgrade that adds extra tools and insights. Plans, billing, trials and cancellation are described in our Subscription Terms. Features may change over time, but we will not lock the core counter, craving SOS or helplines behind payment.
5. Your content
What you write is yours. It stays on your device unless you choose to export, back up or share it. You are responsible for keeping exported files, backup passcodes and your device secure. We cannot recover data you delete, lose or cannot unlock.
6. Acceptable use
- Use the App lawfully and for personal purposes only.
- Do not attempt to break, probe or bypass the App's purchase checks or security.
- Do not use the App or website to harass others or to present it as your own.
7. Availability and accuracy
Health-benefit timelines, estimates, savings figures and helpline details are general information from public sources and from the data you enter. Individual results vary, and helpline details can change. Features may be unavailable at times. Use local emergency services when you need urgent help.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the App, including any decision about your health. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and mandatory consumer-protection rights where you live are not affected.
10. Ending your use
You can stop at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (for example license limits and liability) will continue.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a revised date. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Part B: End User License Agreement (EULA)
This EULA is a legal agreement between you and Biswajit / Bwjhub (“Licensor”) for the Sober Ally mobile application, including its updates, widgets and Plus features (the “Licensed Application”). By installing or using it you accept this EULA.
B1. License grant
Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Licensed Application on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to the usage rules of the store you downloaded it from. The Licensed Application is licensed, not sold.
B2. Restrictions
You may not, and may not allow anyone else to:
- copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract its source code, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or distribute it;
- remove proprietary notices, or bypass its purchase checks, security or technical protections.
B3. Ownership
Licensor and its licensors own all rights, title and interest in the Licensed Application, including the name, artwork, characters, text and code. No rights are granted except those stated here. Your own journal entries and records remain yours.
B4. Plus and in-app purchases
Paid Plus features are purchased through the App Store or Google Play and are subject to the store's billing terms and to our Subscription Terms.
B5. Updates and termination
Licensor may update, change or discontinue features. This EULA lasts until ended. It ends automatically if you breach it, and you can end it by deleting the Licensed Application. On termination you must stop using it and delete all copies.
B6. Apple-specific terms (iOS and iPadOS)
If you downloaded the Licensed Application from the Apple App Store, the following applies, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA:
- Acknowledgement. This EULA is between you and Licensor only, not Apple. Licensor, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Licensed Application and its content. The Apple Standard Licensed Application EULA also applies; if it conflicts with this EULA, the Apple terms control.
- Scope of license. The license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
- Maintenance and support. Licensor is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to furnish any. Contact us at contact@biswajitnk.com.
- Warranty. If the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses or expenses attributable to a failure to conform are Licensor's responsibility.
- Product claims. Licensor, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to the Licensed Application or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection or privacy claims.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims the Licensed Application infringes its intellectual property rights, Licensor, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending and settling the claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data agreement, when using the Licensed Application.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce this EULA against you as third-party beneficiaries once you accept it.
B7. Google Play (Android)
If you downloaded the Licensed Application from Google Play, purchases and refunds are handled under the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to this EULA and has no obligation to provide support.
B8. Warranty disclaimer and liability
The Licensed Application is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, Licensor disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and its liability is limited as set out in sections 8 and 9 of Part A. It is a self-help tool, not medical advice (see the Medical Disclaimer). Consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law are not affected.
B9. Contact
