Data Deletion

You hold your data, so you can erase it. Here is how.

No account to delete

Sober Ally has no sign-up or login, so there is no online account. Your records live on your device, and we do not hold a copy.

1. Erase everything in the app

  1. Open Sober Ally and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Choose Reset all data.
  3. Confirm. Your quit date, logs, journal, letters, reasons, contacts and progress are erased from the device.

Uninstalling the app also removes its data from the device. Home-screen widgets should be removed too; they only hold your day count and display choices.

2. Files you created

Exports, backups (.soberbackup) and share cards you saved or sent are copies outside the app. Delete them from where you stored them (Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email or a computer). We cannot reach them.

  • iPhone: if you turned on iCloud or computer backups, the app data is in those. Remove it from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups.
  • Android: automatic cloud backup is switched off for the app, so there is no Google backup of it.

3. Purchase records

If you bought Plus, Apple or Google and RevenueCat hold purchase records under an anonymous app-user identifier. To ask RevenueCat and us to delete that record, email contact@biswajitnk.com from the address you want us to reply to, with the subject Delete my data. Apple and Google keep transaction history under their own policies and legal obligations, and a deletion request does not cancel a subscription (see how to cancel).

4. Emails you sent us

We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you. To have a conversation removed, write to contact@biswajitnk.com. We will confirm once done, normally within 30 days.

5. More information

See the Privacy Policy for what is stored, or contact us with any question.
